Born in Mendoza (Argentina), she began her musical studies at the National University of Cuyo (Mendoza), in cello and singing. She perfected her studies in London and at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, before winning the first prize in two prestigious singing competitions: The Festivales Musicales Competition, in Buenos Aires and the Francisco Viñas Competition, in Barcelona, Spain.

She began her career in Europe, performing the roles of Gluck’s Armida with Marc Minkowsky and Les Musiciens du Louvre in Versailles, Hänsel und Gretel with Radio France and, later, Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Pamina (The Magic Flute) and Ilia (Idomeneo) at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

She followed with Despina (Cosí de fan tutte) and Les Pelerins de la Mecque, in Montpellier, with William Christie; Ombra Felice at the Salzburg Festival and at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris; Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), as a member of the Lyon Opera; Plateé de Rameau, at the Lisbon Festival and Emilia (Catone in Uttica, by Vivaldi),

in Paris; Ilia (Idomeneo), with Marc Minkowski, at the Flanders Opera and the Lyon National Opera; Monteverdi’s Orfeo, with Il Giardino Armonico, at the Graz Festival; L’incoronazione di Poppea, at the Teatro Comunale in Florence and Dalinda (Ariodante), at the Bavarian State Opera.

She performed the title role in Scarlatti’s La Griselda at the Innsbruck Festival and at the Deutsche Staatsoper in Berlin; Celos aún del aire Matan (Spanish baroque opera) at the Teatro Real; Emilia (Cattone in Uttica) at the Paris Opera with Jean-Claude de Montreux, Armida (Rinaldo) at the Bavarian State Opera, Iphigenia in Aulide at Glyndebourne and at the Lufthansa Festival in London.

She has sung conducted by maestros Zubin Metha, Claudio Abbado, John Elliot Gardiner, Andrea Marcon, Fabio Biondi, William Christie, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Sir Neville Marriner, Jean Christophe Spinosi, Adam Fischer, Heinrich Schiff at the Winterthur Festival (Switzerland), Tomas Hengelbrock in Würzburg (Germany), Marc Minkowski and Les Misiciens du Louvre (France), Jean-Claude Malgoire and La Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy, Giovanni Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico, Ivor Bolton, René Jacobs and Tom Koopman.

Her extensive discography includes works by Vivaldi, with Ensemble Matheus and Jean Christophe Spinosi, as well as Scarlatti’s Griselda, with René Jacobs, for Harmonia Mundi, Handel’s Ariodante, a live recording highly awarded by European critics, La Fida Ninfa, also winner of the French Golden Tuning Fork, the disc “Italia 1600 – Argentina 1900”, as well as Strauss’ The Gentleman, for Virgin Classics; Roggiero (Tancredi) with Roberto Abbado, for BMG-RCA; winner of the Diapason d’Or in 1998 and the Orphée d’Or award. He has also recorded Gkuck’s Orpheus and Eurydice, in the role of Euridice, with the Freiburger Barockorchester and René Jacobs, for Harmonia Mundi; Vivaldi’s Orlando Furioso, with the Ensemble Matheus and J.C. Spinosi, for Naïve. His recording of the Griselda (Naïve) was awarded the Diapason d’Or in 2006. More recently he recorded Vivaldi’s Ottone in Villa with Il Giardino Armónico, Antonio Caldara’s La Concordia de’ pianeti for Deutschegrammophon and A. Stradella’s Santa Editta with the ensemble Mare Nostrum conducted by Andrea de Carlo.

Some of her live performances have been released on DVD and Blu-ray, such as Mozart’s Lucio Silla, recorded at the Salzburg Festival in 2006, Cavalli’s Ercole Amante, Handel’s Deidamia at the Amsterdam Opera and A. Vivaldi’s L’incoronazionde di Dario.

Her international career has led her to sing in the great theaters of the world such as Wiener Staatsoper, Munich Opera, Teatro Comunale in Florence, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Theater an der Wien, Zurich Opera, Teatro de La Moneda in Brussels, Washington Opera, San Francisco Opera, Dresden Opera, Amsterdam Opera, Champs Elysées Theater in Paris, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Tokyo National Opera, where she performed in 2012 the role of Mimi, in La Boheme by Puccini, that same year she performed a concert in her hometown accompanied by José Carreras, concert that she repeated the following year in the cities of Corrientes and Buenos Aires, in 2013 she played Zerlina in Don Giovanni by Mozart at the Washington Opera, the Countess, in The Marriage of Figaro, in Karlsruhe, Despina in Cosi fan tutte in Bari under the direction of Roberto Abbado; and in 2014 the roles of Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen at Covent Garden in London, Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeneo at the Teatro Colon and Polissena in Radamisto in Mexico City. In 2015 he performed in Mendoza with Mexican singer-songwriter Armando Manzanero and later in 2017 they reunited again to perform concerts in the cities of Mendoza, Corrientes and Sala Sinfónica del CCK, Buenos Aires.

The 2018-2019 season includes: Concert at La Maestranza together with the Seville Baroque Orchestra, L’incoronazione de Poppea at the Teatro del Liceu (Barcelona) and Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), La clemenza di Tito (Liege), Pelleas et Melisande and Turandot at the Teatro Colón, Concert for the 25th anniversary of International Career at the CCK Symphonic Hall, La Concordia by Pianeti (Amsterdam), concerts in Prague and Versailles together with Collegium 1704 and La Cetra, and the recording and performances of Vivaldi’s Il Giustino and L’italiana in Algeri at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris.

In March 2019 she organized and chaired the 1st International Lyric Singing Competition of Mendoza, together with a prestigious international jury, in a co-production with the Municipality of the City of Mendoza.
